A rare opportunity has arisen to buy a slice of Lake District land for £30,000.

The 1.25 acre site, which includes woodland, water and amenity land near Kendal is on the market with H&H Land & Estates.

Known as Woodland & Pond at Mill Dam, near the village of Underbarrow, it has a guide price of £30,000 to £40,000.

Mark Barrow, director and chartered surveyor at H&H Land & Estates, said: “Properties of this nature rarely come to the open market within the Lake District National Park, particularly sites that combine woodland, water and such a strong sense of seclusion while remaining readily accessible.

“This is a genuinely special property which offers buyers the chance to own and enjoy their own private natural setting in one of the country’s most celebrated landscapes.”

The property is being offered freehold by informal tender.
