A woman has been arrested after police searched a vehicle and found its boot full of stolen goods.
The products, worth £255.77, were discovered by officers after a report of shoplifting at Home Bargains in Penrith, yesterday, Saturday May 23.
Eden police said officers had also arrested a man that day in connection with a shoplifting incident in Sainsbury’s in Penrith in March.
Around £800-worth of alcohol had been stolen.
He had been stopped in his vehicle on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs and was also charged with possession of a class C drug.
He has been released under investigation awaiting blood results.
