A pair of students and a dog whose Lake District camping adventure went wrong were saved by Keswick Mountain Rescue Team.
The team said they were called to Styhead Tarn at around 1.40am on Saturday, May 23.
The team said: “Overnight high winds and rain caused a tent pole to break and a tent to collapse.
The occupants, two 18-year-old students and a dog, were uninjured but getting wet and cold, and so they triggered an iPhone SOS.
“As more messages were received via the iPhone emergency call centre it became clear they were not able to pack up and walk back to their car at Seathwaite, so a small team went out to assist.
“The couple were very apologetic but gained experience and learnt lessons for their next camping adventure.”
