Police have issued a renewed appeal for information after a car was set alight in Carlisle earlier this year.

The vehicle was parked on a driveway at Mardale Road on February 4.

Shortly before 1am, suspects set the car alight and also tried to set fire to the property.

No one was injured.

Police have issued CCTV images as part of their investigation.

Detectives are continuing to appeal for any information on an arson that occurred in Carlisle in February.

CCTV images have been released as part of the investigation.

Police would like people to identify the two men pictured. They said they would like to speak with them as part of the investigation.

Officers are also appealing for anyone who may have seen the incident, or anyone with information to come forward.

Anyone with information can report to police via www.cumbria.police.uk/report-it quoting log number 6 of 4 February 2026 or call 101.

Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
