Eden Valley Hospice’s pop-up cafe will return on a permanent basis.
From next Monday, June 1, the cafe will be open every Monday and Tuesday from 9am to 3pm at the Carlisle-based hospice’s Living Well Hub in its grounds on Durdar Road.
Visitors will be able to enjoy a selection of homemade cake, fresh coffee, and light bites, prepared by the hospice’s catering team.
Beverly Armstrong, hospitality lead at Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw, said: “Thanks to the incredible support from our community, we’re now delighted to open our café twice a week.
“It’s so special to be able to invite the local community to come together and visit the hospice.”
John Watt & Son has donated a new coffee machine to the cafe.
Eden Valley Hospice provides specialist care and support for adults living with life‑limiting conditions, while Jigsaw Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice supports children and young people with complex needs and their families.
They rely heavily on community fundraising to continue providing care, with the majority of running costs met through the generosity of local people and businesses.
The cafe gives people the opportunity to support the hospice’s vital work.
There is no need to book, everyone is welcome to drop in and enjoy a cuppa.
All proceeds from the cafe will go towards supporting hospice care in the local community.
