A man has been rescued after injuring his ankle at a popular Lake District swimming spot.
Keswick Mountain Rescue team were called out to the river pools near Black Moss Pot, in Langstrath Valley, on Thursday May 28 at 11.59am.
The man had slipped on a wet rock, leaving him unable to bear any weight on his ankle.
Due to poor mobile coverage in the valley, the man’s friend made their way to Stonethwaite village to ask for emergency help.
Once the team arrived, the man was given pain relief and his ankle was splinted.
He was then stretchered back to Stonethwaite to an ambulance.
The rescue involved 16 team members and lasted three hours and 41 minutes.
