A man was arrested in Cumbria in connection with a £10,000 fraud in Humberside.
Eden police stopped a Ford Transit van while officers were out on patrol yesterday, Monday June 1.
The van had been seen at the scene of the fraud in Humberside, where an elderly woman had paid £10,000 for work on her roof.
Officers arrested the man driving the van on suspicion of fraud and he was taken to Humberside.
The same officers stopped a Ford Transit van with Irish number plates on the A66.
The driver was arrested on suspicion of driving with false plates, no insurance, no licence, and no MOT.
The driver was wanted in connection with a theft in Scotland and has been taken there for that investigation.
