Concerns have been raised over the future of Carlisle’s UPS depot.

The parcel delivery service said it was ‘evaluating options’ for its business in the UK.

Rumours of a possible closure and job losses at the Kingstown have circulated widely.

Cumbria Crack asked UPS about the rumours, but the firm would not confirm or deny them.

A UPS spokesman said: “We constantly review how we can enhance customer experience and improve efficiency in response to changing market demand.

“As a consequence, we are evaluating options for our business in the UK as we remain committed to providing the highest standard of service and value our customers expect across the UK.”
