A Lake District pub has been crowned the best in Cumbria at a national awards ceremony.
The King’s Arms in Hawkshead picked up the accolade at the prestigious National Pub & Bar Awards 2026.
It was named the county’s winner earlier this week.
Finalists for the Cumbria category included the Black Bull at Sedbergh.
The award recognises excellence in service, atmosphere, food and drink offering, and overall guest experience and the awards are organised by Pub & Bar magazine.
Jo McGowan, King’s Arms owner, said: “We’re incredibly proud to be recognised as Cumbria’s best pub at the National Pub & Bar Awards.
“This achievement reflects the dedication of our entire team, who work tirelessly to create memorable experiences for every guest who walk through our doors.
“We’d also like to thank our loyal customers and the local community for their continued support.”
