Wath Brow have the incentive of moving third in the National League’s Premier Division if they win tomorrow.
But it won’t be easy as they travel to Waterhead Warriors, who are currently third, but just a point above Wath Brow who come next in the table.
The Hornets have been going well after a tough start to the season and go into the game on the back of an excellent win against Thatto Heath.
But just how tight this league is can be gauged by if Wath Brow lose tomorrow and results elsewhere go certain ways then the West Cumbrians could drop to sixth.
In Division One the two Cumbrian sides have the opportunity to consolidate their positions as they both play teams in the bottom four.
Leaders Kells have Pilkington Recs as visitors with the St Helens side next to bottom with only two wins in 10 games.
Neighbours Egremont Rangers entertain Leigh Miners Rangers who are fourth bottom with three wins so far. Egremont are currently fourth in the table.
The big game in the Cumbria Conference is the derby in the south of the county where Barrow Island entertain unbeaten league leaders Dalton.
Paul Armstrong, coach of Dalton is the subject of our weekend preview and you can hear his chat with Cumbria Crack’s John Walsh below:
There’s another south Cumbrian derby in which Ulverston host Millom with both sides looking to make amends for defeats last week.
The other south Cumbrian side, Hindpool Tigers are on the road up to the west to take on Ellenborough Rangers.
The only other game is at Hensingham where the hosts have Maryport as visitors, with the game between Seaton and Distington postponed because of the village carnival.
Hopefully there will be a full programme in the Cumbria Men’s League after last week’s series of walkovers.
In the Premier Division the best game is likely to be at Wath Brow where the A team, smarting from a defeat at Askam last week, entertain a lively young Lowca side.
Cockermouth Titans are at home to Kells A while Flimby Vikings travel to Askam.
In Division One leaders Aspatria Hornets don’t have a game but the three scheduled matches are Dalton A v Glasson Rangers; Millom A v Egremont A; Maryport A v Hensingham A.
