An Appleby Horse Fair drop-in event will be held this week.

The Multi-Agency Strategic Co-ordination Group will hold the post-fair drop-in at Appleby Public Hall on Wednesday, June 17 from 5pm to 8pm.

It wants to hear people’s experiences of this year’s fair.

This event will include opening speakers Claire Notman, chair of the group and senior manager communities at Westmorland and Furness Council and Cumbria police’s Detective Superintendent Dan St Quintin, Appleby Horse Fair police Gold Command.

People will have the opportunity to speak directly to them and officers from Westmorland and Furness Council, Appleby Town Council, Cumbria Constabulary, Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service and other MASCG representatives.

The group said: “These discussions are an opportunity for you to share your experiences of the fair, any suggestions you have for positive change, and to ask any specific questions that you may have.”
