
A man has been charged with a weapons offense after a series of police raids in West Cumbria.
Copeland Neighbourhood Policing Team, alongside Cumbria Police’s Tactical Support Group and the Constabulary Nuclear Estates Team, carried out the warrants this week as part of Neighbourhood Policing Week.
A warrant executed at a property in Egremont resulted in a man being charged.
A man from Egremont, Russell Roberts, aged 43, has been charged with two counts of possession of an offensive weapon in a private place.
He will appear at Workington Magistrates Court on 20 July 2026.
A further warrant was carried out at a property in Whitehaven, where cannabis was seized.
A police spokesman said: “These warrants form part of ongoing work by local officers to target criminality, disrupt offending and keep communities safe.
