Party in the Park will return to Workington next month.

The two-day event in Vulcan Park will take place on Saturday July 4 and Sunday July 5.

Delivered by Everyone Here in partnership with Workington Town Council, the free event aims to transform Vulcan Park into a hub of creativity, fun and community spirit.

Running from 11am to 5pm both days, visitors can enjoy activities including live music, comedy, community performances, an open mic and talent show, food
and drink vendors, funfair rides, creative activities and much more.

As part of the weekend celebrations, people can also enjoy a free outdoor performance of Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet by acclaimed touring theatre company Oddsocks Productions.

Kieran Sheehan, director of Everyone Here, said: “Party In The Park is all about bringing people together. It’s a chance to celebrate local talent, enjoy
great entertainment and spend time with friends, family and neighbours in one of Workington’s most loved community spaces.

“We’re delighted to be working alongside our local creative steering group to deliver another fantastic weekend for the town.”

Workington Town Council said: “Party In The Park has become a real highlight of the town’s events calendar.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming residents and visitors alike for a weekend packed with activities, entertainment and opportunities to come together as a community.”
