A man in his 80s has died following a house fire in Workington.
Emergency services were called to the incident on Poole Road in Salterbeck at around 6.30pm today, Thursday June 25.
The man died at the scene.
An investigation is underway by Cumbria Fire & Rescue Service and Cumbria police into the cause of the blaze.
A police cordon remains in place at the scene.
Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who has relevant information, CCTV, doorbell footage or dashcam recordings to contact police.
