
A Carlisle man has been banned from city shops for five years.
Paul Muir, 44, of no fixed abode, was given the five-year criminal behaviour order at Carlisle Magistrates Court yesterday, Wednesday July 22.
Muir was given the order after pleading guilty to a number offences including theft, being drunk and disorderly and breach of notification offences.
The conditions of his order are:
- Not to be in possession of any unsealed vessel containing alcohol in any public place, except inside a licensed premises
- Not to enter Tesco Express, English Street, Carlisle
- Not to enter any B&M Bargains in Carlisle
- Not to enter any Asda in Carlisle
Cumbria police said they encouraged anyone who saw the terms of such a court order being broken to contact them immediately.
The punishment for breaking the terms of an order can be up to five years in prison.
