[T]hree people have been arrested following a raid on house in Ormsgill, Barrow this evening (3rd May).
Officers searched an address on Broad Close, Ormsgill following reports that the occupants may have had a gun. Armed police officers were deployed to the scene as a precaution.
A 36-year-old man from Ormsgill, a 32-year-old man from Barrow and a 45-year-old woman from Milnethorpe were all arrested on suspicion of being in possession of a weapon and they are currently being questioned by police.
Following the examination of a weapon that was recovered, Officers can confirm that this was an imitation firearm.
Police would like to reassure the community that there was no threat to members of the public and they would like to thank everyone for their patience and cooperation.
