[C]umbria County Council will be supporting National Carers’ Week between 12 and 18 June, with a variety of events taking place across the county.
It is estimated that 10 % of the national population are carers – equivalent to nearly 6 million people in the UK. The work they carry out is vital for their families and friends, as well as for their local communities.
The annual National Carers Week offers an opportunity to highlight and recognise the achievements of carers and the huge contribution they make. Local events are planned every year with support from Cumbria County Council and Carers’ Organisations across the county.

Allerdale and Copeland
- Tuesday 13 June – Cupcakes 4 Carers 10am – 1pm – Seaton Pharmacy

- Friday 16 June – Coffee Morning with staff from Furness Carers, St Marys Hospice and Cumbria County Council Shared Lives Scheme 9.30am – 11.30am.
- Saturday 17 June – Carers’ Social Trip to Liverpool (coaches leaving from Furness, various pick up points – call to book a seat)
