[F]rom The Fields, creators of the fan-favourite, multi award winning festival Kendal Calling have partnered with leading social video platform Twitch to live broadcast content throughout this sold-out event to its 10 million daily visitors.

Kendal Calling is fast approaching with this year’s festival taking place between 27th – 30th July at Lowther Deer Park in the beautiful Lake District. Kendal Calling will handle the in-house video and Twitch will handle production of the live stream of key performances and content making huge new steps into non-gaming content.

Since launching in 2011, Twitch’s reputation as the world’s leading social video platform and community for video game culture has evolved to now encompass an array of emerging content surfaced by its users. As a result, 10 million visitors gather each day to watch and talk about video games, music, the creative arts, themselves, and other topics with more than 2 million streamers.

Confirmed to appear on the Twitch livestream stream so far are Stereophonics, Frank Turner and the Sleeping Souls, Happy Mondays, Frightened Rabbit, Seasick Steve, White, Post War Glamour Girls, The Hunna, Fickle Friends, The Lancashire Hotpots, Stilia, Dantevilles, with many more to be announced.

Andy Smith, promoter, Kendal Calling says: “We’ve very excited to announce that Kendal Calling will be streaming live on Twitch this year! For the first time you’ll be able to watch performances from the main stage, Tim Peaks, Calling Out and Glow tent live from the comfort of your home or – for the less hardy festival goer – your tent. This is especially useful since the festival sold out faster than ever back in February and sadly some of the usual faces missed out on their tickets. Well, here’s your chance to digitally join us in the fields.”

Jason Fletcher, Twitch comments: “Twitch is a favorite of fans and artists alike, for its unparalleled setting and its eclectic lineups which leads to spectacular, one-of-a-kind performances. We’re excited to be able to expand its reach exponentially and with the kind of quality production you’d expect from major studios and networks.”

Twitch are also offering those who missed out on tickets the opportunity to win them for next week HERE. Simply share the page on your socials for a chance to win some of the most sought out tickets of the summer!

Set in the picturesque Lowther Deer Park, one of the UK’s most beautiful festival sites, Kendal Calling will return to the Lake District for an amazing weekend of music, art, comedy, food and drink this July. Despite it being the 12th consecutive sell out for the award winning festival, the capacity will once again stay the same to retain Kendal Calling’s unique atmosphere.
