[L]andlords will be given the opportunity to find out more about the issues which affect them at the next Allerdale Landlord Forum.

The session will take place on Monday 11 September from 6pm until 8pm in the Council Chamber at Allerdale House in Workington.

The forum, organised by Allerdale Borough Council, will include a presentation from the Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service regarding the issue of fire safety in buildings, plus a talk from a National Landlord’s Association representative.

In addition, Council officers from the Private Sector Housing and the Housing Benefits teams will be available to answer any further relevant questions.

Carni McCarron-Holmes, Executive Member for Housing, said: “The rental sector plays a significant role in meeting the housing needs of the area. This is an excellent opportunity for landlords to find out about the issues which affect them and I’d encourage all to come along.”

The forum is open to all landlords or anybody with an interest in the topics that are being discussed. It is not necessary to book; anyone who would like to attend can drop in on the evening. For more information on the forum, please call the Housing team on 0303 123 1702.
