[A] man sustained serious injuries as a result of falling from a second storey window ledge onto Bothergate.
Emergency services were called to the incident near the Cumberland Inn at 1:10am on Sunday 8 October.
Police initially administered immediate first aid before the male was transported to hospital where he continues to be treated.
A spokesman for Cumbria Police said: “He is currently described as being in a serious, but stable, condition.
“The incident is not being treated as suspicious at this time.”
