Britain’s Energy Coast (BEC)’s team has been strengthened by the arrival of Business Administration Apprentice Rachel Murray.

Rachel is a former St. Benedict’s pupil and has taken up a Level 3 apprenticeship in Business Administration via. local training provider Gen2.

With an A at A-Level and GCSE in Business Studies, together with a proactive approach, she stood out at the interviews to secure the role and is already making a fantastic contribution to the team.

Her line manager and BEC’s Executive Assistant Paula Mewse reflected on the appointment: “We are so pleased to welcome Rachel to the BEC family.  From day one the standard of her work has impressed us and we look forward to her growing in her role as she undertakes her apprenticeship with us.”

Speaking about her reasons for joining the team at BEC, Rachel commented: “When I met the team during the interview BEC stood out as an organisation because of how friendly they were. They took the time to get to know me but also made sure I really understood the organisation and what it does in the field of low-carbon property development. I was really attracted to working for a company that was doing good things for the environment.”

BEC‘s CEO, Michael Pemberton added: “Rachel’s understanding of, and commitment to, the low-carbon golden thread that sits at the heart of all we do will stand her in good stead as she starts her career with us. We are delighted that she chose to join us and will support her in her work as she progresses through her apprenticeship.”
