[P]olice are appealing for witnesses following an assault. The incident occurred at approximately 7:15pm, on Tuesday, 17th October, on the number 61 bus, on Stonegarth, Carlisle.
A passenger is reported to have spat in the face of the driver.
Police are appealing for the witness to this incident, also a passenger, who may be able to help identify the offender, to contact police.
