[C]opeland Police have received a number of reports of sheep being worried with dogs in rural areas.
A spokesman for Cumbria Police said: “Officers are investigating these reports but would urge members of the public to avoid fields of sheep when walking their dogs and to keep their dogs on leads.
“These incidents are of particular concern at this time of year and in coming months as farmers begin lambing season, as even just having a loose dog in a field can cause a sheep to miscarry.”
