[C]umbria Police are continuing to investigate a ram-raid style burglary at Booths in Milnthorpe.

A vehicle was used to break into the store in the early hours of Saturday 25th November, and an attempt to steal the ATM within.

The incident occurred between 1.15am and 1.30am.

Having driven away from the rear entrance of Booths at 1.30am, a dark-coloured people carrier was seen heading in the Carnforth direction.

Police are appealing for anyone who lives on Church Street (A6) or the Milnthorpe crossroads, who may have CCTV that could assist in the investigation.

Two men – aged 29 and 41 – from the Durham area, were arrested shortly after the incident on suspicion of burglary. They have been released under investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to contact DC 2278 Garratt in Kendal CID on 101, or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
