[P]olice are currently dealing with a collision on Dalston Road in Carlisle.
Officers were called at just after 2pm to the incident, which involved a motorbike and a car.
The male rider of the bike is being air lifted to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle. There are no further details on him or his condition.
The driver of the Ford Fiesta– a female from Wigton, is not believed to be injured.
Motorists are being asked to avoid the area and to instead use Wigton Road.
