[S]t Benedict’s School had two students representing them and the County last weekend, at the Northern Schools Inter-County Cross-Country Championships.
The event took place on Saturday 3rd February at Barnard Castle School, with hundreds of students competing from Cumbria, North Yorkshire, Durham, Northumberland and Cleveland.
Year 7 student, Ebony Blackwell, finished 27th overall (7th Cumbrian in her first race at the Minor Girls level, which is a great achievement.
And Year 11 student, Mia Easthope, finished 12th overall (5th Cumbrian) and, in doing so, has qualified for the National Finals in Leeds in March.
Mr Lambert, PE Teacher at the school, said: “In snowy, wet and cold conditions, both girls did excellently in very strong fields.”
