Police appeal after girl attacked in High Harrington

[P]olice are investigating an incident where a man tried to drag a 14-year-old girlĀ onto a cycle track in High Harrington near to the line, between 7.45am and 8am this morning (8 May).

The girl fought of the attacker and managed to escape after elbowing him.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed a man in the area described as being in his 40s and wearing black jogging bottoms and a black jacket.

A spokesman for Cumbria Police said: “Officers are investigating an offence of assault without injury after the girl was knocked to the ground but would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or the moments leading up to it.”
