[O]fficers investigating an offence of arson have arrested a 48-year-old man from the Kendal area.
The man has been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life and remains in police custody this morning (9 May).
A fire was started at a residential property in the area of Dowkers Lane, Kendal on the night of Saturday 5th May 2018 into Sunday 6th May 2018. However, the fire extinguished before the property caught fire.
Nobody was injured in the incident.
Officers investigating the incident are continuing to call for any witnesses or anyone with information which could assist to get in touch quoting incident number 80 of 6 May 2018.
