[A]t 7:05pm yesterday, Wednesday 30 May firefighters were called to a fire at Keskadale Farm on the Braithwaite to Buttermere road in Newlands.
On arrival the crews from Keswick, Cockermouth and Workington fire stations found that the fire involved a tractor and animal food silos.
A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “The tractor’s diesel tank was well alight.
“Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
“Crews used water from a stream to help put out the flames.
“Once the fire was out firefighters cooled three storage silos that had been effected by it.
“Firefighters were in attendance for around three hours.”
