[A] MAN who handled a stolen BMW has been jailed for six months.
Lee Stephen Carr, 27, was sentenced at Carlisle Crown Court for a crime which came to light days after the vehicle was stolen in the city last month.
At around 9-15pm on May 8, Carr was seen next to a BMW he claimed he was planning buy for £350.
He also had the keys, while two registration digits had been altered with black tape.
Carr, of Abbotsford Drive, Kingstown, Carlisle, admitted handling stolen goods just weeks after his release from a previously-imposed jail term.
“You simply came out and went back to offending again,” Judge James Adkin observed.
