[K]eith Griffiths has been appointed as the new Director of Finance at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust (UHMBT).
Keith is the current Interim Director of Finance at UHMBT, and has been appointed to the permanent role following a rigorous selection process that tested the leadership qualities and abilities of shortlisted candidates.
Aaron Cummins, Chief Executive, UHMBT, said: “We are delighted that Keith has been appointed as our new Director of Finance. Keith has made a valuable contribution to the Trust since he joined us on an interim basis in April this year, and I know the teams have enjoyed working with him.
“We received a number of high calibre applicants for the post, and it is a testament to Keith’s significant skills and experience that he has been successfully appointed. I look forward to continuing to work alongside Keith at such an exciting time for our Trust and the local health and social care system.”
Before Keith joined UHMBT in April 2018, he was the Director of Sustainability at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust, and has worked as a Director of Finance in specialist and acute NHS providers for over 20 years across the north of England.

I am excited to work with staff from across the Trust to continue the great work they have been doing to improve services for local people and tackle the financial challenges we face.”
Keith will start in post as the new Director of Finance with immediate effect.
