[A]t 12:54am today, Saturday 23 June firefighters from Penrirth and Shap were called to reports of a large gorse fire in Bampton Grange.
On arrival crews found that the fire was well alight and approximately 50 metres by 100 metres.
A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “The team used one hose reel jet, two breathing apparatus, three grass beaters and two water back packs to extinguish the fire.
“Crews were in attendance for approximately one hour 20 minutes.”
