Rounders match raises £1,200 in aid of local hospice

[A]n inter-professional rounders match organised by Handelsbanken has raised £1,200 to help the care, support and activities provided at Eden Valley Hospice.

On Friday 29 June 12 teams took part in the Inter Professional Rounders Match at Creighton Rugby Club. Representatives from Armstrong Watson, Baines Wilson, Bell Park Kerridge, Burnetts, Carigiet Cowen, Cartmell Shepherd, David Allen, Dodd & Co, Handelsbanken, InvestAcc, PFK and Walton Goodland all took part in the fundraising event.

Natalie Bingham, Corporate Relationship Co-ordinator at Eden Valley Hospice, ‘’We are absolutely thrilled that Handelsbanken continue to support the hospice in this way. It is always such a great event and for the first time ever, the weather was glorious for it which really added to the evening! A huge thank you to all of the teams who took part, we hope you all had a fabulous evening.’’

Chris Winspear, Corporate Manager at Handelsbanken, “We would like to thank all of the professional firms across the city for their continued support of our rounders event, this year’s weather made what is always a fun event extra special with £1200 raised and going to this very worthwhile cause”.

Since first starting the inter-professional rounder matches Handelsbanken and the kindness and generosity of all the teams who have taken part have raised over £3,000 in aid of Eden Valley Hospice. The money raised helps the local charity to provide the highest standards of care, support and activities to local adults with life limiting illnesses.
