Police appeal after vehicles damaged

Police are investigating an incident whereby a number of cars have been damaged on Wigton Road, Carlisle.

Members of the public have contacted police to state that their cars had been damaged by having a sharp implement scratched down the side of their doors causing damage to the paintwork.

The incident is believed to have happened overnight on Sunday 26th August 2018.

Anyone with any information should call PC 2338 Coward on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.


Police are also investigating an incident of criminal damage, which has occurred to a vehicle on the alleyway behind Richardson Street, Carlisle.

The incident of damage occurred at approximately 10pm on the 23rd August 2018.

Police are therefore appealing for witnesses who may have information relevant to the investigation. Anyone with information should contact police referencing incident 248 of 23 August 2018.

Police are also investigating damage caused to a vehicle parked on the driveway of an address in Bampton.

Sometime between 5pm on Sunday 26th August 2018 and 11am on Saturday 27th August 2018.

A corrosive liquid, believed to be either paint stripper or thinner, has been thrown at a vehicle causing damage to the driver’s side of the vehicle.

Police are appealing to any witnesses in the area of Bridge View, Bampton, Penrith, who may have seen anything or anyone acting suspiciously in the area during this time.

Police are investigating an incident whereby several vehicles on GROVE ROAD, EGREMONT have been damaged overnight (27th-28th AUGUST 2018).

Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to come forward.

Officers are reminding the public to ensure that their vehicles are left secure overnight and parked safely.

Anyone who has information about this incident can contact Cumbria Police quoting incident number 33 of 28th AUGUST 2018.

Overnight between 10pm on Sunday 26th August 2018 and 8.30am on Monday 28th August 2018 a number of vehicles were damaged whilst parked in various places in Workington, including in the Central Car Park, Harrington Road and outside of The Washington Central Hotel.
