Police are investigating a report of an assault that took place in the early hours of Wednesday 17th October on Mardale Grove, Barrow.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “A 19-year-old Barrow woman received bruises and grazes to the head, neck, chest and arms as a result of the incident.
“A 25-year-old Barrow woman was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm and has been released on bail whilst enquiries are ongoing.”
Police are appealing for any witnesses to the incident to come forward to assist in the investigation. Anyone with information should contact police quoting log 16 of 17th October 2018.
