Police are in attendance at Castle Park in Whitehaven as part of an investigating into a reported serious sexual assault.
The incident was reported to have occurred in the early hours of this morning on the 26th October in Castle Park, Whitehaven.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “A 17-year-old male has been arrested on suspicion of rape in relation to the incident and is currently in police custody.
“Police would like to reassure the public they aren’t looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.”
