At 3:54pm today, Thursday 22 November three fire engines from Barrow, Ulverston and Walney fire stations attended a fire on Ramsgate Crescent, Barrow-in-Furness.
A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Firefighters used four breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets, one covering jet and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire.
“One male casualty was rescued and received first aid from firefighters and the paramedics on scene.
“One positive pressure ventilation fan was used to ventilate the property.
“Firefighters were detained approximately sixty minutes.”
