Police in Ambleside are investigating a suspicious incident where two men in a white van have approached a 16-year-old girl.
Police were contacted at 1.30pm today (22nd November) following an incident near Galava Roman Fort.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “The teenage girl involved was walking when a van pulled up near to her with two men inside. One of the men left the van and attempted to grab her.
“The man is described as being 6ft 2 inches tall and aged between 35 and 45. He was wearing a black beanie hat, a black fleece, black work pants and black trainers.
“The van left the scene and officers are making enquiries to locate the vehicle. The victim was uninjured.”
