L-R: Yvonne Gandy, (NPQ Lead Facilitator Outstanding Leaders Partnership), Shaun Monaghan, (Director of WLTSA), Simon Jackson (Headteacher Keswick School) and Vanessa MacDonald (NPQH Lead Facilitator Outstanding Leaders Partnership)

The Western Lakes Teaching School Alliance has recently been accredited as a national partner of the Outstanding Leaders Partnership. The Teaching School delivers a variety of National Professional Leadership Qualifications through its school leadership training hub at Keswick School (a National Teaching School).

This term over 20 local school leaders, aspiring to be primary and secondary Headteachers, have been participating in training with Yvonne Gandy the National Programme Lead and Vanessa MacDonald the National Professional Qualification for Headship Lead Facilitator. This will provide an excellent foundation for the next generation of school leaders in central and West Cumbria.

The Director of the Western Lakes Teaching School Alliance Shaun Monaghan is delighted with the response to the programmes, “We are thrilled with the number of school leaders who have enrolled on our World Class Leadership Development training. Our Teaching School is committed to meeting the needs of the school led system through the provision of high-quality leadership programmes here in the heart of the Lake District.”
