A Carlisle man appeared in court today accused of sexual assault at an address in north Cumbria on December 8.
David John Glaister, 39, appeared from custody at Carlisle Magistrates Court and gave his address as Collingwood Street, Dentonholme.
It is alleged he breached two restraining orders imposed on February 1, by Carlisle Magistrates, not to approach or go within 50-metres of a named-female.
The alleged sexual assault is that he intentionally touched a woman in her home, and the touching was sexual when she did not consent and that Glaister did not reasonably believe that she was consenting.
No-plea was entered today.
The breach allegations are dated December 7 and 8th.
Magistrates declined jurisdiction and the case will be heard at Carlisle Crown Court on January 18 next year, he was remanded in custody until then.
