The Lowther Show returns to the grounds of Lowther Castle this August, bringing a fantastic line-up of sporting pursuits and country inspired living to the stunning Cumbrian countryside.

Taking place within the beautiful grounds of Lowther Castle over 10th & 11th August, this year’s Lowther Show welcomes back its ever-popular key show features including the Lowther Horse Driving Trials, Food & Beer Festival, the Lowther Fishing Island and the Lowther Hound Show. Plus, along with its renowned key areas, welcomes a full line-up of countryside fun inside the Realtree Main Arena and the all-new Interactive Arena too.

Brand new for this year, visitors can catch demonstrations from some of the finest acts in the country. There are performances by the Pony Club, the UK’s number one mountain bike stunt display, the M.A.D Team, plus Jamie Squibb and his Squibb Motocross Stunt Team will be free-styling their way into the Arena.

As well as this, visitors can catch informative and hands on displays from Bob Hogg’s Sheepdog Display, the Eagle Heights Eagle & Vulture Display Team, hunter-gatherer Chris Green, plus deer stalking and pony specialists, the Dalriada Highlands will all be featuring inside the all-new Interactive Arena.

For those interested in all the championship action, Lowther welcomes qualifying rounds in the Chudleys Gundog Championship, has competitions throughout the weekend over at the BASC Clay Shooting Festival and offers a wide range of Terrier and Lurcher showing classes and field events, professionally organised by the Coursing Crew over in the Terrier and Lurcher area.

Elsewhere at Lowther, there’s a dedicated BASC Stand housing everything to do with shooting and conservation, a Folk Roots Festival, both Craft and Antiques Fairs, not to mention a whole host of family inspired entertainment. From Animal displays, Airsoft to Ferrets, there is also a huge array of have-a-go fun, musical entertainment and demonstrations in every rural craft. So whether you’re a sportsman, or a family looking for a day out with the kids there is something for everyone to get involved in at the Lowther Show in August.

If you’re thinking of joining us this August, why not upgrade your ticket and sign up to our brand new Member’s Enclosure too. Along with access into the Lowther Show, members can enjoy forward parking, access to the event’s Members Enclosure, which offers both indoor and outdoor seating as well as superb views of the Realtree Main Arena. For those wanting to dine, breakfast and lunch can be offered as an added extra too; the perfect stop off for those wanting to sit back and catch up over some good food.
