Two men arrested after Carlisle robbery

Police are investigating a report of robbery on Fusehill Street, Carlisle at around 11:30pm on Thursday 22nd August.

The incident involved three men.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “Two of the men have taken cash from another man and assaulted him resulting in facial and head injuries. The men have also used a sharp object.

“Two men, aged 33 and 41 were arrested on suspicion of robbery and released under investigation.”

Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident. Anyone with any information should call DC 2212 Charlotte Jones on 101, email 101@cumbria.police.uk or Crimestoppers anonymously in 0800 555 111.
