As the nights draw in Handpicked Productions invites you to gather your friends and family for a unique celebration of all things autumnal.
At Autumn’s Mellowing takes place on Saturday 12 October and is the second pop – up event by Handpicked Productions, taking place at Low Hall The Lakes, the enchanting 17th century farm with views over the Lorton Fells.
A seasonal celebration with stories and shadows, poems and posies, firelight, feasting and apples galore will see Storyteller Ian Douglas and wordsmith Emma McGordon lead you through an afternoon of activity into an evening of warm conviviality.
Ian Douglas is a favourite of the storytelling circuit and fast becoming a national treasure! He is guaranteed to keep everyone entertained with autumnal tales around the campfire!
Emma McGordon is an award winning Cumbrian performance poet and has been commissioned to capture the magic of autumn in her very own unique style. She will premiere new work celebrating nature and growth at the event.
Cumberland Flower Farm are back by popular demand with creative hands-on activities and North Cumbria Orchard Group will be juicing apples and telling us about the work they do to conserve, promote and celebrate orchards in North Cumbria.
Ticket price includes all activities, performances and amazing food from Stonehouse Smokery. They will be preparing warm, wholesome food, and a simple dish to suit younger appetites, just the ticket for an autumn evening!
Handpicked Productions said: “We are delighted to unveil our latest intimate experience that aims to bring people together, using creative activities and performances to ignite the playful, encouraging people to forget about daily hassles, and allowing them to enjoy being ‘in the moment’ in idyllic surroundings with unique experiences.”
At Autumn’s Mellowing takes place between 3pm and 8pm on Saturday 12 October at Low Hall The Lakes near Cockermouth. Tickets cost £25.00 for adults, £15.00 for children aged 4-12 years or £65.00 per family (based on 2 adults and 2 children aged between 4-12 years or 1 adult and 3 children). Ticket prices include all activities and performances and food. Admission for under 4’s is free but does not include food.
