Penrith BFL Sale 2019

Lot No 19 from Messrs S & W Maughan, Street House.

On Thursday Penrith & District Farmers’ Mart LLP held their Sixteenth Annual Show and Sale of Bluefaced Leicester Rams and Females on behalf of the Bluefaced Leicester Sheep Breeders Association, sponsored by H. Pigney & Son, Appleby.

Judging was in the capable hands of G Inman, Witcherslack, who awarded the Champion honours to lot 10, a very classy modern shearling with great power and skin sired by F52 Hewgill which also received the championship, this was purchased by G & H R Shields, Tarn House, Ravenstonedale.

Ram Lamb also from the Hewgill flock achieved a top of £4000 by the Marriforth G23 selling to Northern Irish buyers M A Coulter.
