Carlisle MP, John Stevenson, will be hosting Carlisle Skills Fair to be held on 6th February 2020 at the Sands Centre in Carlisle.

Mr Stevenson has organised a skills fair in Carlisle annually for the past 7 years to give local young people and jobseekers the opportunity to find out the range of training, jobs and apprenticeships available to them in the local area.

Last year, the skills fair had over 80 businesses and training providers exhibiting with over 3000 visitors in attendance.

John said: “I am so pleased that I have been able to organise this event every year since 2013. The success of Carlisle Skills Fair is testament to the support that I have received from the business community, because it would not have been possible without their involvement.

“It’s fantastic that young people and jobseekers from Carlisle have been able to access training and employment at the skills fair over the years.

“I am grateful that we already have a wide range of training providers and businesses in attendance, but as ever, I am eager to encourage new exhibiters to come forward to make Carlisle’s skills and training offer even greater.”
