Staff at Capita Real Estate and Infrastructure, Carlisle have raised £1,000 to help the care, support and activities provided to children and young adults at Jigsaw, Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice.
Earlier this month staff from Capita visited the children’s hospice to present the money raised. The group of fundraisers raised the money through a raffle and various other fundraising activities.
Carole Williamson, Commercial Assistant at Capita said “We have really enjoyed raising funds this year for the children at Jigsaw. Natalie kindly gave us a tour of the facilities and we were amazed by the fantastic work the staff do to support the children and their families. We are looking forward to supporting them with some volunteer work in 2020.”
Natalie Bingham, Corporate Relationship Co-ordinator at Jigsaw said “We are absolutely thrilled that Capita chose Jigsaw as their chosen charity to fundraise for. We need to raise £2,126.46 per day from the community so this is a tremendous donation that will go a long way to continue the care we provide for children and young people here at Jigsaw. We would love to say a huge thank you to the team for choosing us.”
The money raised by Capita will help Jigsaw to provide the highest standards of care, support and activities to children and young adults with life limiting illnesses. This care and compassion is extended to all the children and young adults family, friends and carers.
