An Armathwaite resident has started their Monday on a high after winning £30k, thanks to playing People’s Postcode Lottery.

The lucky Cumbrian player won the cash prize after CA4 9PG was announced as a winner with People’s Postcode Lottery on Monday 2nd March.

Offering his congratulations, People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Danyl Johnson, said: “What better way to beat the Monday blues that to have £30k added to your bank account? I want to wish our winner here in Cumbria a huge well done and thank them for playing.

“It’s because of players like this we can continually support charities and good causes up and down the UK, making everyone a real winner!”

A minimum of 32% of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have helped raise more than £500 million to date for good causes across Great Britain and internationally.

Local charities also benefit from the support of our players. Hospice at Home West Cumbria recently received £14,428, enabling the charity to provide an hour of complementary therapy – including Reiki, therapeutic massage and relaxation – to help those in times of street and grief.

This draw was promoted on behalf of British Red Cross, who help anyone, anywhere in the UK and around the world, get the support they need if crisis strikes. Players have raised more than £3 Million for British Red Cross so far. That funding is helping people to withstand emergencies, recover and move on with their lives.
