A MAN accused of assaulting a Lake District pub licensee and a member of staff has appeared in court.
Jamie Tomlinson, 22, faces two charges arising out of alleged incidents at the Crafty Baa, Victoria Street, Windermere.
Both allege assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and are said to have occurred on July 31 last year.
Tomlinson appeared in front of a judge at Carlisle Crown Court earlier today (MON).
During a brief hearing he pleaded not guilty to assaulting both Vincent Gregg and Tina Clement. A timetable for the progress of the case was outlined to Judge Nicholas Barker by the prosecutor, Jeremy Grout-Smith.
Tomlinson is now due to stand trial in front of a jury at the crown court in the week of June 22. It is estimated the hearing will last two to three days.
Until the start of his trial, Tomlinson – who was represented by barrister Richard Archer – was granted unconditional bail by Judge Barker.
