The Wigton Motor Club committee has decided to cancel all events and meetings until the end of June and the situation after that will be under constant review.
WMC spokesman, Graeme Forrester said: “This means that all our meetings, work parties and autotests are cancelled along with major events like Drive It Day and the Lake District Classic.
“Planning for the Cumbria Classic Weekend is still going ahead for August 22/23rd and we will review whether to run as the coronavirus situation develops.
“Start Line will continue to be published and we welcome articles to replace event reports etc.
“We will now have more time to fiddle with our cars, do some gardening and stay safe and ready to play again once this dreadful ordeal is over.”
