Four fire engines have attended a domestic property fire on Moorclose Road in Salterbeck.
Fire crews were called at 9:50am on Friday 5 June.
The incident involved the roof space of a semi-detached property.
A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Firefighters used four breathing apparatus, three hose reel jets, one covering jet, a thermal imaging camera and various ladders to extinguish the fire.
“One casualty was assessed by paramedics.
“Crews were in attendance for approximately four hours.”
